Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to and use of Schleicher County Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its content, or submitting a query through a displayed search tool signifies agreement to these terms. Anyone who does not agree must stop using the site.

NO FCRA USE. Schleicher County Criminal History is privately owned and has no affiliation with Schleicher County, the State of Texas, or any other government body. Neither this site nor its advertising partners provides a service intended for credit, employment, tenant, insurance, or another Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) purpose. This is a reference for locating criminal-record resources in Schleicher County, Texas, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site operated independently of government. It does not hold official criminal records and cannot obtain records, perform an official background check, or submit documents for a user.

Its role is to identify sources that hold Schleicher County records, including the Sheriff's Office, the combined County and District Clerk, the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Records Division, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect users to third-party research tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of this site is conditioned on an agreement not to:

  • Run a bot, scraper, or other automated tool against the pages
  • Stalk, threaten, or harass a person using information found here
  • Interfere with site performance or another visitor's access
  • Use the content for hiring, housing, credit, or insurance decisions
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or restricted area
  • Violate a federal, Texas, or local law through use of the site

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

No one may use information from this site or a linked tool to intimidate, stalk, threaten, harass, or discriminate against another person. Such conduct is forbidden and may violate the law. Extra care applies to the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry, which operates under Texas Code of Criminal Procedure chapter 62. Registry information is provided for lawful public-safety awareness, not vigilantism, blacklisting, discrimination, or crimes against a person shown in the registry.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Schleicher County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It creates no credit report, background check, or consumer report. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers tools designed to evaluate job applicants, rental applications, creditworthiness, or insurance risk. Information here or in a linked tool must not be used to:

  • Set an insurance premium or judge creditworthiness
  • Evaluate a renter or housing applicant
  • Make a hiring or firing decision
  • Decide eligibility for a license, permit, or government program
  • Carry out any other purpose regulated by the FCRA

A person who needs a check for a regulated purpose must use an authorized Texas Department of Public Safety channel or a provider that complies with the FCRA.

5. No Legal Advice

Site content is not legal advice. General information about Schleicher County records cannot determine how a charge, conviction, warrant, expunction, or nondisclosure law applies to one person's facts. Seek advice from a licensed Texas attorney.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are offered "as is." There is no guarantee that:

  • A partner search result will be complete or correct
  • The site will remain available without interruption
  • Information will always be current, accurate, or complete
  • The pages will contain no error, defect, or security weakness

Criminal records can change when a charge is filed or dismissed, a judgment is entered, or relief such as expunction or nondisclosure is granted. Gaps and delays are possible. Nothing published here is an official statement by a court, sheriff, or government agency. Texas agencies also apply the dissemination limits in Government Code chapter 411 and the access provisions of the Texas Public Information Act.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may point to county offices, Texas agencies, courts, legal-aid organizations, and outside search services. Following one leaves this site for a service beyond our control. We are not responsible for its availability, charges, content, accuracy, or data practices. Review the destination's terms before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Schleicher County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, changed, distributed, or used to create derivative work without prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for damages arising from site use, including action taken in reliance on this content or information supplied by a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against a claim, action, or demand arising from your use of the site or violation of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

Texas law governs these terms. Any legal dispute tied to use of the site must be brought in a court located in the State of Texas.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A revised version takes effect when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access to the site may be restricted or ended at any time, for any reason, and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If a court finds part of these terms invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions stay in force. The affected provision will be modified only as much as required to make it enforceable.
